Prescriptions can be provided to AristaCare via fax, electronic prescription, telephone order from a provider, or a hand-written order from a provider
Refills will be scheduled by a phone call from AristaCare staff to each patient. After the initial dispense of medication, each patient will be called within 72 hours. During this 72 hour call a refill call will be scheduled. Ongoing refill calls will be scheduled during each refill call. If there is a question to when the next refill will be sent, please feel free to contact the AristaCare office.
In case of an emergency or disaster, please follow the directions provided in the Emergency Preparedness section of the AristaCare Patient Handbook.
An update on a prescription status can be provided by calling our office.
Information on prescription substitutions can be provided by calling our office. If there is an instance of a prescription substitution, your physician will be contacted to discuss along with the patient prior to dispensing the medication.
Prescriptions transfers are subject to state laws and internal policy of the pharmacy where the prescription is being transferred to. Information can be provided by calling our office and speaking to your AristaCare pharmacist.
Medications not available through AristaCare might be available from another pharmacy. If the medication is unavailable due to shortages our staff can call your provider to suggest an alternative medication. If AristaCare is unable to provide the medication, we will work with your provider in sending the medication to a provider that is able to service.
Medication recalls are communicated to AristaCare staff through multiple sources. In the event of a medication recall, all patients affected by the recall will be contacted by AristaCare.
The disposal of medication is subject to local and state laws and regulations. Information can be provided by calling our office and speaking to your pharmacist.
In the event of an emergency, call 911. When able to do so, please call our office so that we may document the adverse reaction and notify the appropriate parties.
